01 — Foundation

We help South-East Europe build better — safer, greener, and engineered to last.

Mission

To advance sustainable, safe and energy-efficient building and engineering practice through standards, training and a connected professional community.

Vision

A built environment across the Balkans and SEE that meets European standards for sustainability, performance and safety.

Origin

Founded in Kosovo, built to scale — uniting engineers, architects, institutions and industry across the region.

ASBEES
03
01 — Foundation

Four disciplines, one standard.

The name is the strategy. Each letter of ASBEES stands for a pillar of the built environment — held together by sustainability.

B
Building

Durable, sustainable construction and materials.

E
Engineering

Sound structural and systems engineering.

E
Energy

Efficiency, renewables and performance.

S

Protecting people, assets and communities.

The current mark

Current ASBEES logo

Existing logo · wordmark with striped "EE" device

✓ What works
  • Clever wordplay. "AS·BEES" is memorable, and the striped E's double as bee-stripes and stacked building floors.
  • Green signals sustainability — the right territory for the mission.
△ What to improve
  • No standalone symbol — can't work as a favicon, app icon or social avatar. Essential for a body scaling across SEE.
  • Generic green + pure black reads dated rather than authoritative.
  • Two-line descriptor becomes unreadable at small sizes.
  • Heavy, uneven spacing — the weight feels industrial, not institutional.

02 — Logo Review

Three concepts explored

Each keeps the green and a structural idea. We recommend the one that gives ASBEES a true, ownable symbol.

Concept A
Honeycomb Windows

A solid cell with cut-out floors. Strong, but reads more like a building than a system.

Concept D
The "A" Frame

An "A" for Association as a roof/beam. Architectural — but loses the bee equity.

★ Recommended
Concept E
Hexagon Strata

Honeycomb + stacked floors rising from a honey-gold foundation. Bee, building, energy — in one mark.

03 — The Logo System

One mark, four ideas

The hexagon — bees & engineering

The honeycomb cell: collaboration, industriousness, and nature's strongest, most material-efficient structure.

Three strata — building

Stacked floors rising upward — and a direct callback to the striped "EE" of the original mark.

Honey foundation — energy

The gold base grounds the mark in a stable footing — warmth, energy, and a quiet nod to the bee.

The whole — safety & trust

A shield-like, solid silhouette: an association you can build on.

Construction & proportion

The symbol is built on a hexagonal grid. The beam height defines one unit — — and governs every gap and margin.

What not to do

The logo's integrity protects the brand. These six rules are absolute.

Don't stretch or distort the proportions.
Don't recolor with off-brand colors.
Don't rotate or tilt the mark.
Don't add shadows, glows or 3D effects.
Don't skew, shear or warp the symbol.
Don't place on low-contrast or busy backgrounds.

Photography direction

The look
  • Real built environment. Actual projects, sites and people — never generic stock.
  • Human scale & natural light. Show the work and the people behind it.
  • Hexagon crop for hero and feature imagery; clean rectangles elsewhere.
  • Pine duotone is available as a house treatment for cover and section imagery.

✕ No heavy filters, fake lens flare, or staged hard-hat clichés.
